Past Progressive - Übung

Hallo,

folgende Übungsaufgabe habe ich bekommen:

Two actions at the same time: (Past Progressive-Übung)

1. While / the teacher / to explain / Peter / not to listen.
2. Susan / to have a shower / while / Sally / to play the guitar.
3. The parents / to have a party / while / the children / to play a game.
4. The sun / to shine / when / we / to visit the castle.
5. Mr Simon / to talk to his neighbour / while the thieves (Diebe) / to empty the house.
6. George / to lie on the beach / while / his friends / to play football.

Und so habe ich die Sätze gebildet.

1. While the teacher was explaining Peter was not listening. (geändert um 16:18 Uhr)
2. Susan was having a shower while Susan was playing the guitar.
3. The parents were having a party while the children were playing a game.
4. The sun was shining when we were visiting the castle.
5. Mr Simon was talking to his neighbour while the thieves were emtying the house.
6. George was lying on the beach while his friends were playing football.

Sind die Sätze so richtig?

Ich hab die Sätze nur mal kurz überflogen und hab da eigentlich nichts auszusetzen. Bis auf:

2. Susan / to have a shower / while / Sally / to play the guitar.
2. Susan was having a shower whileSusan was playing the guitar.

(ist aber nur so ein Fehler mit den Wörtern, nichts gravierendes ) Also du musst bei einem Susan und beim anderen Sally hinschreiben, da das ja sonst keinen Sinn ergibt

es kommt drauf an, ob ihr in beiden satzteilen past progressive einsetzen sollt, oder ob eine aktion dazukommt

Ich glaub, dass man in beiden Teilen Past Progressiv einsetzen muss, da es ja in der Übung, bzw. Aufgabenstellung so heißt Wie meinst du das, Mit Handlung dazukommen? Die werden doch meistens oder immer parallel gemacht, da als Verbindungswort ja immer oder meistens while steht, oder?

Nun folgt die nächste Übung:

Fire!

A fire in Woodland Street
There was a fire in 22 Woodland Street two days ago. The policemen together with the firemen want to find out who started the fire and where it started. They want to know what everybody in the house was doing when the fire broke out. Here is the plan of what everybody was doing.

people: What they are doing
Jason and Tina: watch TV
Mr Johnson: talk to a friend on the phone
Alan: carve wood
Ms Conrad: read a book
Sue: repair a CD player
Mr and Mrs Spencer: play cards
The Browns: have dinner

Now complete the following sentences using the past progressive.

1. Jason and Tina: We were watching TV when we heard the fire alarm.
2. Ms Conrad: When I smelled the fire …
3. Mr Johnson: … when the fire broke out.
4. Alan: … when I heard somebody shout “Fire!”.
5. The Browns: We …
6. Sue: When … my CD player.
7. Mr and Mrs Spencer: … we heard the fire alarm …

Hier nun meine Sätze:

1. Jason and Tina: We were watching TV when we heard the fire alarm.
2. Ms Conrad: When I smelled the fire I was reading a book.
3. Mr Johnson: I was talking to a friend on the phone when the fire broke out.
4. Alan: I was carving wood when I heard somebody shout “Fire!”.
5. The Browns: We were having dinner when the fire broke out.
6. Sue: When I smelled the fire I was repairing my CD player.
7. Mr and Mrs Spencer: We were playing cards when we heard the fire alarm.
8. Mr and Mrs Spencer: When we heard the fire alarm we were playing cards.

Wie sieht es hier mit Fehlern aus?

Also soweit ich das beurteilen kann sind da keine Fehler drin. Bin mir aber nicht sicher. Erst mal abwarten was die anderen sagen

Eine Sache muss ich aber noch anmerken: vielleicht war es auch nur ein Tippfehler, aber die progressive-Form von "to listen" im ersten Satz heißt "listening"

mit den ersten Sätzen bin ich nicht so ganz glücklich, es hört sich nicht gut an, wenn beide Satzteile in der progressiven Verlaufsform stehen

Das versteh ich nciht! ich mein, die sollen doch past progressive üben, oder? und warum kommt da jetzt auf einmal simple past rein? ich glaub ich brauch doch noch mal eine zeitauffrischung.... die letzte arbeit die wir dadrüber geschrieben haben ist ganz schön weit weg

Folgenes habe ich zum Past Progressive notiert:

1. Anwendung:

Past Progressive wird benutzt:

· Wenn zwei oder mehr Vorgänge gleichzeitig stattfanden. I was reading a book and my sister was playing.

· Wenn eine Handlung gerade stattfand, als ein neues Ereignis eintrat. I was watching TV when suddenly the phone rang. While I was watching TV, Dad came in.

· Für den Ablauf einer vergangenen Handlung zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt / in einem bestimmten Zeitraum. Yesterday at 5 pm we were sitting in the garden.


Signalwörter: while (während), when (als), as long as (so lange wie)


2. Bildung und Beispielformen:

Gebildet wird das Past Progressive mit was / were und der „-ing“-Form des Vollverbs.
