    1.)
He'd played in the final of the New York Open in 1990 and 1991.
In 1990 he'd played against Pete Sampras.
He'd just played against Michael Stich.
The score at the end of the first set was 6-1 to Agassi.
In the third set Agassi punched a backhand right at Stich and hit him very hard on the forearm.
Stich left a long lob from Agassi and it looked as though it was out but the line-judge dicided it had been in. It was surprised everyone.
The score at the end of the match was 6-1, 7-5 and 7-5.
Well, some people think if Agassi hadn't been played in front of New York fans, he would'nt have played so well and he owed them a lot.
Antje and Michael had been meet each other in Wimbledon.
Maybe, but they both think that they never had met each other, if they hadn't both been tennis fans.

    2.)
If they hadn't booked a room at the Waterside Hotel, they would have had nowhere to stay in Newcastle.
If they hadn't met Kirsty, they would never have been to the Ubiquitous Chip.
If Michael hadn't called Greame, he wouldn't have booked a table at the Golden Moon.
If Michael had bought a record of bagpipe music for his mother, she wouldn't have liked it.
If Antje and Michael had went to Manchester instead of Liverpool, they wouldn't have met Sven and Rosemary.
If Antje and Michael hadn't met Rosemary and Sven in Liverpool, they wouldn't have gone to the cinema together.
If Michael had checked the oil before they left Liverpool, their car wouldn't have brooken down.
If their car hadn't brooken down, they wouldn't have had to stay at The Sun.
If their car had been ready in the morning, they wouldn't have had to take the train to York.
If they hand't went to York, they wouldn't have seen the accident and they couldn't have helped the child.

    3.)
Agassi found it easy to beat Stich in the first set.
In the second set Stich started to play better.
At the net, Stich was in an excellent position to volley.
In the third set, Agassi concentrated on to serve and volley well.
The line-judge's decision calling the ball out surprised everyone.
That sort of decision is easy to criticize.
Agassi's playing destroyed Stich's hope of winning the 1994 New York Open Tennis Championship.
The New York fans helped Agassi to win.
Antje and Michael enjoy watching tennis.
They love playing tennis against each other.

    4.)
    I don't like jogging because it's boring.
I don't like playing tennis because I cant it.
I like swimming because after 1000 meters you feel very fresh.
I like playing cards because you can try to cheat.
I don't like playing football because it's so stupid when twenty-two men plays around one ball.
I don't like doing aerobics because it's hard and I doing enough sports with my horse.
I like dancing because it's fun.
I like sailing because it's a feeling of free.
I don't like mountain-biking because it's hard, too (oder either ???? But normal cycling it's o.k.
I don't like sitting in a nice warm pub because it smells awfull and it's very noisy. But sometimes I like it.

    5.)
What's your favourite kind of sport ?
    It's riding. Horses of course.
    Really ? Why ?
Because it's a hard activity in accord with an animal.
Do you like doing the sport or do you just like watching ?
I like doing the sport - day by day, week by week and year by year.
Have you got friends who like the same sport ?
Yes, of course. I know more than 50 people who loves this sport allone (oder besser: just ?) in our stable.
Are you in a club or a supporters' club ?
Yes, when we're not in a club we couldn't start on shows.
Is the sport very popular in Germany ?
Yes, our dressage-riders are always the No.1 seed by Olympic Games or World Games. It's pupular, but football is more popular.
Is it an expensive sport to do ? Why ?
Yes, it is. Because the equipment is expensive, the accommodations for horses are expensive, the foot is expensive. But why it is I can't tell you exactly. It's also a mystery to me.

    6.)
    Dear .....
Now we're in Wimbledon. The place of playing tennis, you know. In the most of public parks in England you can play tennis with rental rackets. We had try it. It isn't my sport. It's so hard, so quick and you must have much strength in your arms. If you don't punch the balls without enough strenght, they end up in the net. If you punch the balls with to much strenght, they go out.
And than the regulate. Not 1, 2, 3. It goes 0, 15, 30. No logic. However, I think that I never playing tennis again. Now we go to the horses at the end of the park. It's more interessting.

    Hallo Kaiko1968,

    Na mal sehen.

    1.)
He'd played in the final of the New York Open in 1990 and 1991. <- War da nicht noch was ? Lies dir den Text nochmal durch!
In 1990 he'd (<- ohne 'd einfach: he played) played against Pete Sampras.
He'd (<- wieder ohne 'd: he has) just played against Michael Stich.
The score at the end of the first set was 6-1 to Agassi.
In the third set Agassi punched a backhand right at Stich and hit him very hard on the forearm. (Why does Michael think that this helped Agassi to win the match?)

Maybe, but they both think that they would never had have (If-Satz Typ 3) met each other, if they hadn't both been tennis fans.

    2.)

If Antje and Michael had went gone to Manchester instead of Liverpool, they wouldn't have met Sven and Rosemary.

If they hand't went hadn't gone to York, they wouldn't have seen the accident and they couldn't have helped the child.

    3.)

In the second set Stich started to play playing better.

In the third set, Agassi concentrated on [S]to[S] serving and volleying well.
The line-judge's decision calling to call the ball out surprised everyone.

    4.)

I don't like doing aerobics because it's hard and I think I doing enough sports (<- ohne 's') with my horse.
I like sailing because it's a kind of feeling of free.
I don't like mountain-biking because it's too hard, too (oder either ???? Z.B. I don't like mountain-biking. I don't like cycling either.). But normally cycling it's o.k. (okay).

    5.)

Because it's a hard activity in accordance (harmony) with an animal.

Yes, when we're not we weren't in a club we couldn't start on shows

Yes, our dressage-riders are always the No.1 seed by take always one of the first places at the Olympic Games or the World Games. It's pupular, but football is more popular.

... But why it is I can't tell you exactly. It's also a mystery to me. ).

    5.)

    (Habs mal geändert)
    Dear ..,
Now, we are at Wimbledon. The famous place where you can play tennis. By the way you can play tennis with a lent racket at almost every public Park here in England. And we have tried it. The sport is so hard and so fast. And in addition to that, you must have sufficient strength/power in the arms. If you do not beat the ball with enough strength, then he ends in the net. If you, however, beat him with too much strength, then he goes out. And then the laws. One does not count 1, 2, 3 but 0, 15, 30. This isn't logically, is it? Now we are going to the horses at the end of the park. These are more interesting.

That's ok too. But doesn't it (I like sailing because it's a kind of feeling of free.) mean the same???

what tense is "he played" and "he had played"?
    he played => simple past
he had played => past perfect = plusquamperfect

There are (each as simple and continuous form):

    Futur 1 (will/going to) -> I will go.
Futur 2 (will have) -> I will have gone.
    Present -> I go.
    Past -> I went
Present Perfect -> I have gone.
Past Perfect -> I had gone.

    If you say

I enjoy free <-- doesn't make any sense.

    I enjoy freedom <----correct

I am freedom <--doesnt make any sense.

    I am free <---correct

I think you were trying to say.

I like sailing because it's kind of free feeling.

But you can say: 'I'm feeling free' and sailing is one (of many) kind of feeling free.

So, according to that: I like sailing because it's a kind of (I'm) feeling free.
